Strange Light

Sirens here shed a strange light

Blood on the streets that shines in the night

Black fingers flexing, empty and wide

Red sirens flash and then Black bodies die.

Patriotic scene of the men in blue

Hoodies and jeans, hands up don’t shoot

That gallant mission, serve and protect -

Then you wrap your arm around his neck.

Here is a light for the blood to shine

For the kids to trust, for the world to blind,

For the free to fear, for the dead to know

This is a dark and evil glow.
